I know it's been asked before, but I can't remember! How DO you put photos on here??  Help, anyone, please. Oh and make it simple!

Here goes, you have to first shrink your photos using one of the photo altering programmes that lighten, darken, shrink etc, then click on the additional Options and look for the photo you shrank, otherwise you can paste a link from a photo shareing site but then people can look at all your family secrets!! SOme one else will tell you as well, as I cannot explain myself but can do it!!! good luck!

Open a reply, look below the white reply box.  There in blue is 'additional options', click on that, a drop down list appears, click on 'choose', this takes you to your own computer files, choose your photo and click 'open', then click 'post'. As Sandy says the file cannot be more than 512 kb so you need to make it smaller if your photo is quiet big - many are more or less that size anyway though.  If you save the smaller version onto your desktop with a different name it will be easier to find and you can keep your original file the same size.

Dan - any chance you could have a 'how to' section on the new site?

Yes most of us have experienced the loss of animals but it never gets any easier & we go and put ourselves through it all over again!

You just have to get on with life!  Everything dies eventuallty!  Us too. I have four dogs now, lost my dear oldie a few weeks ago, have always said I'll never have less than two dogs so I always have one other to take my mind off it.  My kids have agreed that they will support me with that.

Geebee - send me the photos by email and I'll shrink them, rename and send back to you to post up.

Yes, it's on the list and we're looking at ways to make it much easier to add photos to the forum.

I use Flickr or Photobucket for putting pics on forums, it's very easy from one of the photo sharing sites. If you set up an account (free) I can help you through the pic posting if you can't fathom it out

this from Flickr took me secs to do

or you can just put up a link P1030423

from Photobucket is even quicker

Yes life goes on and I have Blue, but Jill was only the second dog I've had from puppy to old age so it's taking some getting used to. I'm so busy now that it wouldn't be fair to take on another pup or adult rescue, however dogs & cats seem to somehow turn up on my doorstep (sometimes literally!)
