Feeling pretty chuffed
« on: July 21, 2011, 06:37:55 pm »
We just had THE most delicious supper tonight consisting of:
Pork sausages from OUR pigs
Mashed potatoes from OUR homegrown tatties
Baked tomatoes from OUR polytunnel

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ok we had our own pork last year (which was yummy  :D  ), but this year has been our first tentative steps in the growing veggie world so we are very chuffed with ourselves

Soooo glad we left the big smoke  ;D

Congratulations  ;D However, as I have been on a diet since January (damned eldest son is getting married ) I am not looking at your very pretty pictures  ;)

Oh...and...homemade tomato ketchup and brown sauce next time :P

Fantastic.  Nothing beats home-grown, freshly picked / cooked.   :yum: :yum:
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Mmmm tasty, we're having the first of our toms tonight, stuffed into a giant courgette & new pots & runners; just waiting for hubby to get back from shutting the chooks :chook: in! Would love to have made own sausages, need  :pig: first tho, maybe next year!
