Good Morning
« on: July 21, 2011, 04:38:43 am »
Hello everybody, we've arrived here through numerous googling's over the past 9 months or so which have led us to these excellent forums. Since our smallholding adventure is due to start in earnest in the next month or so we thought it would only be polite to join up and contribute a bit. Contribute might be a slight exaggeration, that should possibly read more along the lines of plead for help but you get the drift.

Anyhow, we've read loads of books and gone on lots of very good courses (we have certificates!) so we're bursting with overconfidence, misinformation and enthusiasm.

If anyone would like to recommend some do's or don'ts on smallholding in Orkney we'd love to hear from you.

It's sunny down the bottom endof Calcks!  Good morning all!  Off out with dogs before it gets busy!

We've got loads of questions but we're trying to contain ourselves and not scatter gun the forum with questions hither and thither.

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome  :)

Welcome to this site and indeed welcome to glorious Orkney! Beautiful sunny day up here today, as they say make hay when the sun shines!
We are up here living the good life and loving every minute of it.
If there's any thing we can do just shout, all the best.
