Chick advise please!
« on: July 15, 2011, 02:55:42 pm »

I have just taken on 3 chicks, a bluebell and 2 whites. They are currently in an incubator and i'm after some advice for rearing them. There are so many websites and books its a bit over whelming so i was looking for some advise from people that do it for real as it were.

They need to come out of the incubator & be given water & chick crumbs, they need heat of some sort either it be an electric hen or a heat lamp.A electric light bulb & a box would do for now,

You have to make sure that there is an end hot and a cool end too they can then choose where to sit !! Make sure the water is very shallow they will drown they will play in the food and need cleaned out every day !

Have fun
