Hello Darren and welcome from the far north west of England

BH won't let me get anyone in to kill the rabbits, he thinks plenty rabbits keeps foxy well fed and lambies safe.  All very well, but rabbit stew makes a very nice change!  ;)

Having said which, he does love to chase the rabbits with his hound pup when he has one.  No pup this year, so he's been trying to get his collie interested.  At first she just tried rounding them up, now she is top notch at finding them and holding them still with a stare from 10' away ...  ::)
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Hello and welcome!!

We had a man come on with his ferrets and dogs to keep our rabbit population down - then they seemed to die off to myxi.  Back with a vengeance now, but I think the rabbit catcher has retired, and his dogs very old!!.  Anyway, the many farm cats are bringing plenty of young rabbits, so seem to have control of the situation at the moment!!
