Two ponies shot dead

plus a dairy cow, about ten miles from us. This happened on Saturday night. Not sure how, or why - certainly not an accident. Local police have arrested a 52 year old man for it.

Maybe he had an argument with someone, and took his revenge out on their animals?  He was arrested pretty quickly, so someone must have known who was responsible.  Its a tourist area, not many houses there.  Nothing horrible like this happens round here often, thank goodness.

Sounds like a bit of a dispute that got out-of-hand  :o  Pity the animals had to be the ones "in the firing line" (pun not intended), but I suppose folks will say it's better than blasting humans  ???
