My local pub puts it on the menu as a starter, very thin sliced (not cooked) with a side salad, and the Ham goes down a treat, he has it on the specials board menu as " Yorkshire Parma Ham"
so in answer to your question, it is like Parma ham but from Yorkshire.
you can also Cook the Ham as a joint- simmer for 20 mins a pound then oven cook with a mustard and brown sugar glaze, either way its Delicious.
