Now aren't males just a big problem, whatever the species!  (...has this thread been done before!?) ::)
registered soay, castlemilk moorit  and north ronaldsay sheep, pygmy goats, steinbacher geese, muscovy ducks, various hens, lots of visiting mallards, a naughty border collie, a puss and a couple of guinea pigs

tee hee!

I'm glad I'm not the only one to pin all the blame on Waldo the Drake! Blinking bloke! However, on a more serious note I have sick ducks on my hands....(see new thread I'm about to post!)

It is highly probable that, not the drake, but another duck drowned Betty.  Never ever put new stock into the same pen as the 'residents'.  Always keep them separate for 7 days.  The new birds do not have the same immunity and will succumb to anything that happens to be around.

With regard to the fresh ducks,  they will probably return to the sound of the other quacking when the light starts to go later tonight.  Khaki campbels can & do fly!!!!!!

Thanks Sandy,

Have updated the blog again , more pics etc. Have lost another one, likely to lose my last IR too... :-( but going to get more - spoken to my duck man who is v reputable and he's keeping a drake (mad I know!) with 3 girls for me, young at the mo and not ready for 4 weeks which is fine as gives me time to really clear the infection and settle my Khakis down...

Any advice on medicated feeds or adding to ducks food generally to promote good health always welcomed by anyone! U can comment at the bottom of each post on my blog [url=http://selfridgestoscats.blogspot.com or leave here of course!

Thanks guys - keeping going thru a bad duck week!
