My bantam hen who is approx 8 yrs old is looking depressed with her head tucked in and her eyes closed like shes asleep and staying on her own in the garden.Shes been checked over by the vet-nothing.Shes had vitamin supplement for two weeks no improvement.
could this just be old age?

It could be the henopause :D

I think this could certainly be old age. Other species behave like this so I see no reason why birds wouldn't. The only solution i have ever found is loads of tlc, treats and as much company as you can give her.
