splade legs

morning all
one of my turkey poults has got splade legs
i immediately searched on here and found advice saying to tie legs together
we did that and seemed to help but it keeps falling off when he starts walking
any tips on how to manage it

We've had to hobble quite a few chicks. Luckily I have three small daughters who are more than happy to spend hours giving the chicks 'physiotherapy' which does the trick - just holding it and letting it sort of walk until it's legs get used to it.

we use vet wrap cut into thinner strips to tape the legs the vet wrap sticks to itself without being to sticky like plasters.

cut a strip wrap around 1 leg with the rest of the wrap bind the other leg leaving the width of the bird between the two legs after 24 hours you can remove the binding.

Pipe cleaners are also excellent for sorting out splayed legs.
