Not sure about the American stuff but the Aussie chocolate is really awful. Not sure what they put in it but it's to stop it melting in the hot weather, so it just isn't like what we know as chocolate at all. The Aussies also accept ....... Wait for it.......a certain percentage of.........cockroach in their chocolate!! Blech!
I was also very saddened when Cadbury was sold seems like we have very little British products left. God save Tunnocks!

Ummm ..... Interesting new flavour  -  I wonder how the marketing people will approach it.  I look forward to seeing the TV commercials   ;D

I am very grateful that no-one queried the 'crunch' in my Crunchie....

i have enjoyed cadbury's dairy milk for over fifty years but no more.  It tasts really cheap and nasty.  Tried twirl and it is just as bad.  Cannot believe we British have lost such a wonderful treat.

I have an intolerance to chocolate but it sounds like it's going to be easier to resist in future.

I've never been a big chocolate fan. Cadbury has never been a favourite, and i've had Hershey's chocolate in the states. Yuk.

I've seen Hershey bars in the supermarket, just wish they'd get some original Twinkies in.   So wish I could buy some - the larger the packet the better - luckily I'm one of the fortunate people that doesn't put weight on. Hoorah!

I used to love cadbury but no way now.....have found Aldi has Moser Roth Mousse au Chocolat 85% cocoa and have to have two slabs ( 5per pack ) every night while I read for half an hour before bed , better than Green and Blacks.

This is devastating news. I don't often eating chocolate but when I do I like a nice bar of dairy milk

You'll note that it's now called Cadbury's Dairy Milk and not Cadbury's Dairy Milk Chocolate.

They can't call it chocolate any more otherwisae this would breach Trading Standards Legislation  ;)

Actually, I think the cheap stuff at Lidl is way better than Cadbury's has ever been...

(Goes and hides!  :-[  Sorry, I wasn't born British - you have to have lived in this country forever to like that stuff! But I'm sure Hershey's is worse.)

Btw, I think G&B is made in Italy, anyway - so much for British chocolate... It is very nice, though. (Haven't checked lately, so maybe that has  changed with change of ownership!) If I do buy chocolate, a rare treat, it's generally organic and fair trade. If I restrict myself to that, I don't get tempted too often!  ;D

I hate to tell you peeps, but Cadbury's bought Green & Blacks about 8 years ago.  Which presumeably explains why they've never bothered to get themselves Fairtrade accredited. (BOOOOOO)  So I usually choose Divine instead - organic and Fairtrade, just as nice as G&B (though not quite so many different variations), and if they've been bought by Kraft please will nobody tell me  ;)

I now only eat 85% or higher chocolate, so Cadburys is out. I have been munching on some very expensive Hotel Choclat 85%. Yummy. It was a present from my sis.
Silly Spangled Appenzellers, Dutch bantams, Lavender Araucanas, a turkey called Alistair, Muscovy ducks and Jimmy the Fell pony. No pig left in the freezer, we ate him all!
