http://www.kintaline.co.uk/ sell a lot of differnet breeds and the farm is near Oban...they have a large web-site, and if they don't sell i'm sure have details of someone who does!

Failing that, buy your local ScotAds and search in the farming section/livestock section, I have seen Silkies for sale in the last few Months, but can't remember for the life of me where?

Happy Hunting!

John.  ;)

Try the classified ads at the back of Practical Poultry or Smallholder/Country Smallholder magazines  :)

Rosemary, can you tell me the name of the company who do the poultry sales at Caledonian Mart, or is that actually the name?

I used to attend horse and pony sales in Stirling, but then there was that sort of split off or something which threw me and when I tried to find out what was going on, nobody seemed to know.

It was UA at one time, but who deals with sales of poultry now, please?......and is there a website for entry forms?

Hi

A lovely lady - Ann Dow - near West Calder (West Lothian) breeds them - she advertises in Country Smallholding so I expect it's ok to pass on her number which is 01506 873 982

good luck with finding what you're looking for

United Auctions is the market at Kildean on the other side of Stirling, at Raploch - they also own Perth market, which is closing soon and a new market is being built in Stirling.

Caledonian Marts is www.caledonian-mart.com and is on Kerse Road between Sirling and Fallin.

I got some off all year round birds.. and would not recommend, I then got 3 lovely birds from Ann Dow, she was having to restock after Fox been in but she kindly gave me 3.  They are quality stock and she gladly showed us all her stock and their living conditions were spotless.
