Bale carrier for 17 (or 21) small bales of hay
« on: April 30, 2011, 10:55:58 pm »
The 'new' Massey tractor (ie, less than 20 years old!) 3-point linkage doesn't go down low enough for our existing bale carriers.  (And yes we have adjusted all the things that adjust and did get the arms much much lower - but the spikes along the bottom of the carrier have to be absolutely flush with the ground or they just knock the 'stook' over, and we cannot get them quite this low.)

We have seen carriers where the holes for the arms linkage is raised from the bottom frame, which would work with the later tractors - but we can't remember the make(s) of this type so are struggling to source one.

Can anyone help?
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
