House for sale. Isle of Skye - SOLD
« on: April 12, 2011, 06:58:37 pm »
Firstly may I offer my apologies for my first post being a house sale.
I have been a viewer, browser and loiterer on TAS for many a year.
Hopefully, when house selling and work calms down (been saying that for years!) I will be able to come and have a blether with some like minded folk!
Best wishes
S Skye.

My wife and I have put our house on the market.
It is a seven bedroom house near Broadford on the Isle of Skye (just a few miles from the toll-free bridge to the mainland).
Great sea-views over Broadford bay and towards the mainland. It is currently run by my wife as a seasonal B&B and sits in 0.7 acres of land (around the size of 11 tennis courts I am informed by the wonders of the interweb!).
We are looking to move elsewhere on the island to a slightly smaller house.
OIRO £295k
More details can be seen on the following web page
www.gghforsale.co.uk
Many thanks for looking.
Best wishes

Welcome to the forum in real terms.  ;D Hope you have success selling up - good place for a B & B, so should go well.

Many thanks for the welcomes. Yes, nice to feel "real" after all this time :).
Yes, IoS is a very good place for B&B. Wife tells me it is the second most visited place after Edinburgh. So that cannae be bad.
Has certainly done alright for us.
Hopefully we will be able to sell within a reasonable time-scale, especially as we are selling at under the valuation price and not using the "normal" offers-over method of sale.

We have our eye on a few places quite close to our current home, little bit smaller of house and a little bit bigger of land.

We shall see.

Until soon
Best wishes to one and all
S Skye
