Hi all,

How short a time before lambing can I give Hepvac-p I have 1 or 2 ewes that I'm not sure when they will lamb it could be the end of April or the end of May.  Don't want to give to early or too late. Plus not wanting to keep having to buy a bottle just for 1 injection.  They were all done in the autumn twice.

Also is there any way I can tell/workout/look for!! to see if the rest of my girls are in lamb or even workout when these 2 might lamb.  The 2 suffolks in particular if they ARE barren  should I get rid of them - they are 'well' conditioned at the moment - though it could be they are in lamb . I bought them in August as shearlings.

I'm gonna be no help at all here because ....... I know exactly when mine were tupped, I've had them scanned so I know which are expecting twins and I've observed some of the signs that the one is going into labour - stargazing- as yet no lambs and no idea when they will be born. Best of luck, last year I was where you are this year.

I would probably think about doing them in the next couple of weeks, then (if they do lamb) they are covered for the end of April well, or the end of May just about.

As to if they are barren, probably the best thing to do would be to get rid of them!
