Went to lock up chickens this evening and noticed that one of our shetland ewes was not with the flock. Janis walked round to where they sometimes sleep and could hear bleating but by now it was too dark to see anything so we had to phone our son to bring us up a torch and when he arrived we were able to see that there was not one lamb but a beautiful set of twin ewe lambs. Both are feeding well and mum was not at all keen to follow us round to the field shelter which had lovely fresh straw beds ready for her but we did manage to persuade her into an unused pig pen and have made her a straw bale shelter for tonight and can sort things out tomorrow.

Wonderful, Andrew!  A self whelping ewe!  I like it.  See you soon!
