Does anyone know if they'll be selling birds at the show? Preferably not £500 per bird pedigrees!!

Thanks,

There is a section on the entry form for birds for sale, and there usually are some entered for sale.

It's often possible to arrange to buy birds at a later date.

There are exhibitors from all over, and some come over from Ireland to show their birds

Where can I find details about the show and the entry form? I saw the dates in a magazine and I can't find anything on the web.

Also, there is a show at Peebles on 22 Feb.

The Scottish National entries will already have closed I should think. They always have a set aside penning area for poultry for sale, and you will find that some breeders might take something to sell on the 2nd day, which wouldn't have been there on the first day. I have known friends of ours go home and fetch more pairs of calls ducks because they have been selling so well! As I recall, they always put the exhibitors name address and telephone number in the catalogue, which is great, because then you can contact at a later date a breeder near you.

Hi Beth

Yes, entries for the scot national have already closed on 24th of December.  I understand entries are hundreds up on previous years, so it looks like it is going to be a cracker of a show. Not sure about the selling pens, but the show secretary as below should be able to guide you -

Usually the Scottish National does publish names and addresses though there has been a move from poultry clubs publishing this information due to thefts of pure bred valuable poultry.  :(
