I just switched to NFU this year after my buildings cover came up for renewal and I couldn't get a domestic policy any more because of being self employed
I am at home more of the day, more days a year, which is surely less risk of burglary or major incident being unspotted for hours eg burst pipes flooding, but apparently having someone at the front door is far more risky because they might sue me (same people as before and I have professional indemnity insurance separately for any clients that come in!)..
When the car comes up for renewal I'll see if I can add that to the NFU policy and anything else I can too..
