What a day!
« on: February 22, 2011, 09:58:46 pm »
One of our customers came in today and told us that her brother in law went out to his bins to throw out some rubbish and found a badly beaten dead body lying there  :o :o

Last week, less than two miles away we had a drive by shooting. Today in the same place we had an actual calculated shooting.  :o :o :o
It all seems strangely alien to the area around our shop but some of the scutters around here could probably do with being put out of our misery but it sure makes you think!

Got to go into hospital tomorrow for an op. Who knows what will happen there? I'm bricking it to be honest but if the worst did happen at least I wouldn't have to dodge any bullets  :) ;D :)

Good luck with the op Ian - it won't be as bad as you think, I'm sure.  Scary for you, but routine for all the folk doing the work.  Think of it as an extra snooze  :)

Thanks guys.

In answer to the question...........Birmingham  ::)

I don't need any excuses to snooze Juliet, I have slept standing up before now  :D but the extra rest will be nice.

Hope you're all recovered from the operation really soon.

Sounds like an interesting neighbourhood  :o What a shock for the body finder. I've stopped walking the dogs because so many bodies are found by dog walkers; now I'll have to stop putting out the rubbish  ::)

All ok thank you. Bit sore but soon back to fighting fitness.

Turns out that the dead guy was a well known drunk who used to upset people when he'd had a few and we've since had another shooting....... :o

If there is a funny side to all this (and there really isn't) it turns out that just as all the police were arriving at the scene of the shooting, a local thief was just running out of Iceland after carrying out an armed robbery. It was three doors away from the shooting.

You couldn't bloody write it!

that's where the bat went ...I put things down and just forget where I put them  !!! ::)
I don't worry about finding a stiff in the woods , as long as they don't stink to much  !!! but I hate the thought of finding one hanging somewhere.... freaks me out that does....

Take it easy Ian , hope all is ok  !!!

cheers

OMG - our relatives in Birmingham do begrudge us for our slow lifestyle a bit - to be honest, I can do without corpeses of people!
I hope you are ok, KQ! :&>
