We have been thinking about getting a few Geese and are now ready to take the plunge.... I think!

Question I have is that our chickens currently roam free range and sleep in a converted shed that is within a large fenced area (20m by 20m). This is meant to keep the foxes away during the night.

Can I put the Goose shed (no door) in the same area at night and thus effectively keep chickens and geese in the same area.

We take in the chicken food at night so they will not be able to get at that at night, but will the geese eat the chicken food during the day and vice versa?

I know that a Geese become agressive at certain times in the year, will they stop the chickens going in the area during the day to lay in the chicken shed / get water / food and do they actually get on since I am sure my little chickens will come worse off?
Thanks

My geese and chickens get on fine together, they are housed at night in sheds with adjoining door which I always used to shut at night when we first got the geese, but its now left open, the geese sometimes go into the chicken house and vice versa ;D. They all eat together at feeding times with no problems,so in my opinion you shouldn't have a problem but others may have different experience. My gander can be a bit stroppy when his girls are laying but never with the chickens, only people!! :D
