Mesh for run in Central Scotland
« on: February 21, 2011, 03:48:53 pm »
Can anyone recommend a source of galvanised steel mesh for a chicken run in Central Scotland?  I am obviously looking in the wrong places or asking for the wrong thing as I have had no luck in purchasing any so far! Many thanks.

im in the midlands but it doesn't matter look around on ebay as there are some good deals on there certainly better than anything i could find locally retail even at feed places etc.

last year i bought about 200m of 4ft high in the end for various projects all in 25mm mesh and it was by far the cheapest place i could find.

I have half a 50m roll lying in my hut if that's any use to you

Failing that ....  http://www.meshdirect.co.uk/Wire-Netting-25-mm-Holes-1-inch-c-15.html

Bikerene, if you're still after some you could try some from Cadisch, see the link below:

try agricultural stores for 50 m rolls, its still expensive, it took us years to realise they sold it, spent a fortune at b&q! plus our 2 farm stores have 2 different grades for very different prices.
best bargain was from farmers mart auction, some was used, some still wrapped and still cheap.
