Worms?

Just added 6 x 18 week old pullets to my flock. They all seem to have diarrhea, could this be worms? I am treating them for worms but how long will it be before I can expect to see a difference?

have you put them straight in with other hens?
sounds like you'd be better isolating the new ones, until you're sure they are not carrying anything infectious.

how do they look? any particular posture to them?  any eye trouble?
how have you treated them... I mean, what with?   worm treatments are often dosed so many days apart, so you may not see a change straight away.

what breed are they? (just being nosey now!)
:)

No they are separated at the moment.

They look fine, very bright and certainly active.

Treating them with Flubenvet.

The birds are a mixture of Barnevelder and Bluebells.

lovely breeds, bet they're gorgeous!
have to say off the top of my (very weary!) head, I dont know the withdrawal/dosage time of flubenvet.  I use panacur & verm-x

someone more useful will be along soon....  :)
