Quail in the veg plot?
« on: January 29, 2011, 09:33:50 am »
Someone has told the missus that keeping quail in the veg plot is a good idea in that they eat slugs etc but don't bother the plants. I'm sceptical having seen what chickens can lay waste to in a few hours! Anyone any experience of this?

They will escape unless there's small netting all the way around the perimeter and a net above, and god knows how you would get them back. My advice is don't do it.
