Hello from Brisbane, Australia
« on: January 25, 2011, 10:37:26 am »
Hello, everyone!

I'm not a smallholder quite yet, but am planning to get some land this year and get growing. I eventually hope to have a zillion different kinds of vegetables, legumes, fruits, nuts, and a few chickens, ducks, and pigs. Part of the reason is Hugh Fearnly-Whittingstall and his River Cottage programs, and another part is a distaste for city life, and the horrible, expensive, tasteless food in the supermarkets. I also want to live without chemicals in my food, and to increase my consumption of healthy foods so I can improve my health (especially to reduce my weight!)

Well, that's me! Hello to you all!

Daniel.

Thanks! It's quite hot here at the moment - today's going to be about 32-35 degrees (95 F) according to the news, and people are still cleaning up from the recent flooding. Besides that, all is good.
