;D  I thought it was only me begging the chooks to go in so I could go to bed in summer! Tony has to do that as I'm normally asleep far too early these days and he likes a later night.  My 2 eldest are doing 'streetdance' lessons at the moment and I have to pick up at the time the hens need to go in so I'm bantering at the girls to hurry up because the chickens need to go to bed, people give us weird looks  ::)

Off topic but if it helps:

My hens don't get ad-lib feed so they know that their late afternoon feed will be put in their house. They dutifully come when I call them and I lock them up securely whilst they are enjoying their supper.

I'm a head gardener (part time) to Lord M at the moment, but just past retireing age. I v'e been a RHS qualified gardener for about 30 years and have worked all over the UK and abroad in some very nice gardens.

16 acres here keeps me busy and in winter the only time I spend on here is when I have come in for a warm up. ;D
