wanted: silver birch logs
« on: January 12, 2011, 10:38:40 am »
If anyone has fallen silver birch or access to seasoned logs I am looking for up to 3 tonnes in north Fife.  Logs don't have to be fireplace size as they are for firewalking and can be up to 1m long but smaller sizes also useable.

Suggestions for commercial sources also welcome - the seasoned wood I have I got about 5 years ago and is just about to be used  up at the end of Jan so I need more seasoned by late March but happy to stock up new cut also.

Delivery would be ideal if possible, but again can try and work around - smaller load sizes in the Disco boot for instance ;)

Many thanks

Oh come on you lot!  Walking over hot coals, that sort of thing.

Not that I've ever been tempted to try! Is this a hobby of yours Ellied?  :)

I'm actually qualified to run them at international level  8) - did my basic Sundoor instructor certification in 2005 and was invited to the Masters level the following year, been involved in running them ever since and assist at instructor trainings here and abroad when I can..

I am running one at Strathmiglo (Fife) on 29 Jan if anyone wants to try it ;) but it's the going to use up the last of a 3 tonne load and the next one is on 26 March and I need seasoned birch wood for it by then or I'm not going to be able to go ahead :o
