A sudden realisation  it time for the clocks to go back , I cant say I was surprised but life is in the slow lane nowadays. So tomorrow it will be the ritual of putting the clocks back and getting the winter duvet out ready for hibernation and earplugs , yes the goats will no doubt all come in to season all at once !!!
I had the last of this years fresh tomatoes for supper this afternoon , so its now the winter diet as well as the thicker multi layers of clothing.
Take care stay warm and dry

Hello Rupert t b
Well up here in Scotland, I added my third vest and second jumper to the layers, I bought liners for my gloves, I vacuumed my fleece lined Adirondack boots to get rid of the spiders and I am using my lovely new Mountain coat. I never stopped wearing the woolly hat all summer! It only got cold yesterday, but today we have a vicious northerly and as we know any fool can be cold  8)  (it's because I can't do much walking and it's cold on my scoot, just sitting while zooming about)
BUT, we still have some tomatoes in the polytunnel, spuds and onions in storage and winter brassicas growing nicely.  Plus loads of cooking apples.
We are now down to 5 sheep, 4 geese and one dog.  We are planning to plant up two acres of trees over the winter which should keep one of us warm
Stay cosy down there.
