Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.

Bought 3 bottles last year and the last bottle will be for the pre lambing jab next month!

Then I will be scouring the internet!

No matter how crap you feel, always remember you're one of the lucky ones with your own piece of land and loony sheep!

Nowhere I’ve found online has anything in stock. I managed to buy enough to do 50 first and second lamb doses but think I’ll have a few more lambs than that. My plan if I can’t source any more heptavac is to give the surplus lambs lambivac, and make sure they are lambs that won’t be here for long and will go for meat.

I've had an order for Heptavac in with my local Moles store since early January. I had a call today to say they have just had a delivery in today so I can collect my order tomorrow.

Hopefully that means supplies are becoming more widely available now  :fc:

I've bought Crovexin for pregnant ewes to at least give passive immunity to the clostridial diseases .

The situation with Heptovac has been ongoing now for 4 years , getting increasingly worse.  I'm glad this is my last year needing any!

If you live near a Mole Valley store, try them. They told me this week that they have stock in most stores - they just won't mail order it.

I managed to get one 100ml bottle locally, but only one.

The question is, do I use it for the ewes pre-lambing, or do I use it for all of them post-lambing?

Depends if you’ve got another bottle for second dose. No point giving 1 dose and not following up with the second. So if you’ve just got 1 bottle I’d use it pre lambing and source an alternative for lambs.

FWIW whenever I buy vaccines I always buy both doses at the same time. With them going in and out of stock quickly it’s well worth doing.
