Just Public Liability Insurance ?
« on: July 04, 2024, 07:47:41 am »
Hi Folks,

My wife and daughters have a small flock (18 shetlands) and a couple of pigs on 3 acres.  We are new and playing at being smallholders.
We have realised that we should have at least Public Liability insurance in case of the animals escaping and causing an incident.

Does anyone know where I can get just public liability?  Everywhere seems to want to sell a combined policy for hundreds of pounds?

Nb. Have searched this forum and will be calling Stuart Banger shortly however hoping for other options

Many thanks

Always worth asking NFU.  Pretty sure they do "livestock public liability only"
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
