So I have ended up with a house duck only baby to hatch and is now 6 weeks old but the mess can anyone recommend  a bedding that lasts more than a few days been using  easi bed for horses but soaked in a day and also how long can they go with out water ie am filling up everytime it's bowls empty it's not small and av no where for it to go till spring earyest  sorry for lack of spaces etc using phone

First of all it needs a companion. Try and find it one of a similar age. They don't need to live inside once fully feathered, they can go outside in a secure area, with a house or shed for nighttime. But if you really want to keep it in the house then puppy pads are quite good. But it must have drinking water available all the time. You can give it a narrow necked container for drinking out of but twice a day offer a larger shallow bowl so it can have a good wash. Absolutely essential for ducks.

Ducks are disgusting. I found the best bedding is straw or shavings, but neither last more than a couple of days. It needs to be outside though and with company, they definitely need company.
