I give my goats ammonium chloride for ten days every three months as a precautionary measure. I mix 1tbsp with 10ltrs of water as per vets recommendations which means its well diluted and doesn't taste too strong. I add a generous handful of sugar to mask the taste; I've heard cranberry juice works as well. Make sure it is the only water source the goats have access to. They basically self dose, much easier than having to dose each individual goat every day.
This is the way I've been told to do it by three different vets. Never tried mixing in a snack or putting in juice.
