Going to a party tomorrow night!
« on: March 04, 2011, 12:03:21 am »
To be honest, my party days are behind me now. Much prefer to be watching Corrie, with a bar of chocolate in my hand.

My employer is 50 and is having a do at the golf club .....band on etc.  so should be good (I have checked that the band play ok music, as some of the stuff he has on his ipod is not my idea of good music.

As we rarely finish feeding the animals until after 8pm, and the venue is about 10 miles away, and of course we have to get showered and changed (pig and billy goat smells may not be welcome!) we may arrive  fashionably late!!

Had to hunt the clothes, as a lot of my "suitable for parties" attire is in storage!!  Cannot really arrive in my normal dress of jods and boots.

It was good!!

Actually managed to get their by 8.30pm, which given all the work we had to do before going was amazing.  Band was very good, disco was really aimed at the younger guests. He did requests, but tended to go for the modern tracks.

Was 1 am when we got away, and we were up by 6.30am to feed the animals and go to Holmfirth horse sale for our carrot supply!!

Hey, not a bad idea - TAS parties all over the country on the same night, or in fact - all over the World!
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age
