Hi guys,
Today I got a call to say a ewe had found herself in the stream that runs through the middle of the field that they are in. Thankfully it was dry, however she was on her side with her head tilted backwards. I picked her up and held her up for 15minuets, I took her to water and gave her some metacam pain relieve in case she was in pain from the fall down. After a while she started to perk up and was walking around the small isolation paddock she is now in, she was however walking with a tilted head. I’ve just been back up there to check on her and she was on her side again but her head was up this time, she still has the tilted head. Any idea of what can be causing this and if you guys have come across this what were your remedies and what was the survival rate like. She is due to tupped for the first time this November so it would be such a loss. Cheers guys
