Hardened wool on sheep
« on: June 20, 2023, 09:03:52 pm »

Hi

Our sheep have had a hard time with scab and not quite through it yet.  We've just sheared them but one has a serious hard lump of wool on her back which the shears wouldn't get through.  It needs to be softened with something before cutting it off.  I think it's the result of her nibbling her back and leaving saliva on there.  Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks
