Freeze set to return in the New Year
« on: December 29, 2010, 10:17:09 am »
Milder conditions will be with us during the next couple of days, especially in the south west where temperatures will be in double figures. Further north, and east it will be cooler, with maximum daytime temperatures between 4C - 6C. It should be mainly dry, although very murky, with fog in places. As the New Year approaches colder air will begin to filter back west across Britain, and 2011 is likely to begin on a wintry note with frost returning. It is now looking increasingly likely, but not asssured, that the next few weeks will bring a good deal more wintry weather to the United Kingdom, with the prospect of more snow

Ha!  Knew I could rely on your weather posts - just saw something on Met Office site about a new cold phase moving in so thought I'd have a look and see whether you'd posted an update to confirm, and sure enough...here it is!!  ;D Thanks for that.  More hay needed I think - if I can find any! :o

OH shoves cardboard behind the grille to keep the heater warm, it works a treat.
