Eclipse this morning
« on: December 21, 2010, 07:51:41 pm »
Did anyone see the full eclipse this morning? It started here just at about 6.45am, by 7.10 it was three quarters across - then the clouds came.... But in my opinion much more interesting to watch than the sun eclipses, as you can actually keep looking at it rather than having to close your eyes, and with the snow on the ground it was all quite beautiful!

here's looking forward to longer days!

Na, my eyes were still tight shut at that time ;D

As I'm holiday now, I too was shut-eyed... would normally be well up by then!
Would love to see pictures, if thats possible!

We didn't manage to take any pictures, as it was -13 this morning and I was mid-porridge making, we just turned the lights off and watched from inside. It was almost a bit spookey! It got the kids out of their beds pretty quickly too!

Too cloudy here in Wales - couldn't see a thing!!  Shame, kids were looking forward to it.

Went out early to see the eclipse, it was quite an event. Who missed it, you can look at it on our blog  ;)

I'd love to celebrate Solstice but always end up in a mad rush to get organised for what everyone else does...when the kids have moved out maybe ;)
I certainly feel the significance of Solstice since I have animals - MAY THERE BE LIGHT!!! :&> :&>

Too cloudy here but a friend in Brittany said it was wonderful but didn't descibe it. What did it look like and how did you feel, you who saw it?
