Hi all,

Just curious if anyone else makes their own feed and if so what do you guys use?

Im not yet settled on a single recipe but use wheat as a base and have used sunflower seeds, millet, mung beans, oats, maize, flax seed etc.

If someone in the doncaster/ rotherham area of south yorkshire has figured out a good homemade layers recipe from products available locally that would be helofull 😊

Thanks everyone.

You might look at old poultry books for suggestions. This one was written when 'chemical food' was in its infancy, by someone very distinguished in the poultry world of the time. Chapter 3 is on feeding. https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=hvd.hn4kga&view=1up&seq=13
