In my past I did a lot of fundraising for different charities, but now people are a bit more hassled by fundraisers so it is probably harder. One very sucsessful way of gettting money was just purly dressing up as something and collecting money, you have to get permission and have a charity number although doing this is great fun, times I went out to collect money alongside a Gorilla, you'd be surprised the amount of mo ney you get from people out on stag do's, I raised hundreds this way and sent some younjg people off to do conservation work in Indonisia.. Car boots are good and again fun, as with good old fashiond bring and buy or jumble, a raffle a bit time consuming and not so exciting, dutch auctions were you start at a price and work down, you can collect donated items for this. All sorts of sponsered stuff, I'm not that keen on this as I hate hassleing people, car wash, garden clear up etc.You can also organise an event such as orientering or a cycle ride where people pay to join in, maybe a family cycle ride in a safe place. I think the key element is to give a bit of fun while you raise your money. Good luck! Sandy
