Hi from Fife in bonny Scotland
« on: November 09, 2008, 11:29:36 pm »
Hi everyone I,m what some people call a kid on farmer, or as I prefer a smallholder. I keep Shetland sheep a variety of bantams and I grow some fruit and veg all because I want to.I,m a self employed plasterer five days a week. Mature male (whey did I nearly write manure there !) with a partner of the long suffering variety and some great kids and grand kids O! I also have several dogs and a Shetland pony who belongs to my youngest. I have about 12 acres all rented I've been up to over fifty sheep at one time but am cutting back a bit still have a few to go before the winter sets in. Glad to be me.
Shetland sheep, Castlemilk Moorits sheep, Hebridean sheep, Scots Grey Bantams, Scots Dumpy Bantams. Shetland Ducks.

Hello and welcome to the forum !

I think I probably fall into the kid on farmer category too - but it doesn't matter what we're called, the fact that we do it because we enjoy it surely counts enough !  ;D
