Advice please

Hi..we have been asked if we could take our pet pigs, sheep and our pet goats to an open day that a local club is having so that the kids can see them.. the club is not animal related .. what would we need to do legal wise to keep us right to do this? We would provide pens for our pets to be in so that the children would be able to see them and pet them .. any advice would be much appreciated.. Ive told the lady who asked I didn't know what would be involved so I would need to find out first .  Many thanks in advance

Apologies we have been a while responding to your post.  For some reason I had not spotted this in my Unreads until today.

I had a similar situation when we wanted to take some sheep to a village event.  They would be the only sheep there and it was on ground that did not normally have livestock on it.  I asked Animal Health what I needed to do about movement paperwork and whether there would be any standstill on bringing them back to the farm.  There was a special sort of license I think, which took a few days to sort out, but wasn't difficult.  So my advice is to call Animal Health and ask them.

If the animals will or might be interacting with the public, then either you or the club will need public liability insurance for that scenario.  And you will need to offer handwashing facilities, so that people are encouraged to wash their hands after handling the animals.
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
