No- we make the gruel with the porridge oats. Put some porridge oats into a bowl (a couple of handfuls), cover them in boiling water, then add 2 spoonfuls of treacle (or molasses) and a little salt. Stir it together, then add cold water to make it drinking temperature, and feed to goat. They love it, and it helps to replace fluid, plus the essential of a sugar boost after the strain.
