We have a solitary lapwing hanging about our fields, who we thought somehow missed the migration memo this year. However, now I look it up, they are actually resident year round in central Scotland, however usually they go to low ground and estuaries during the winter.
I'm curious though, does anybody else have them still around at this time of year, on high ground? (we're at 200m altitude). I'm trying to figure out if this is normal, or if we need to give her a lift down to Kincardine?
