Yesterday I found out that I have a 1cm tumour in my right lung, through years of smoking.
Im being booked in for a ct scan asap by my GP and then a biopsy to find out exactly what sort of cancer it is so wish me luck please.

From our own experience, staying positive has a very real effect on the outcome.  You have the support and positive thoughts of everyone on this group, so you have every reason to come through this well.  It's terrifying, but hang in there

THinking of you, I am sure you have caught it soon enough for positive outcome, I shall put up with my partners grumps while he is trying to stop smoking!!!!!!! I remember my mum working as a private nurse with a Lady, she was a Lady too!!, who had smoked since she was 9 years old, and smoked a lot,not just one or two, a dare say that did have an effect on her demise but being 99 when she died due to her legs being amputated, who cares!!!!! Lots of good food, fresh air and fun is what you need, you will get lots of support from us you can be sure

I read your post on FB, but didn't realise who you were   

I lost my dad to lung cancer a few years ago & would love to stop smoking myself, but don't have much in the way of willpower..... perhaps a trip to the docs is in order.

Don't think i can add anything that's not been already said above, just keep yer chin up
