Hello, I will have to introduce myself properly very soon but as I hope I can contribute I figured I'd jump straight in.

Seasoning timber is not my area of expertise but I have some experience of milling it. Alaskan mills have their place but that place is optimised to cutting slabs from timber too large to move from where it has been felled. (Not least because the chainsaw chain is so wide the wastage on cutting thinner planks is massive)

What is the breast diameter of the trees you have to cut, how long do you want the timbers and what sizes of timber do you want to end up with?

Some timber yards will collext and re-deliver but self transport is much the usual option.

It is likely that a proper mobile sawmill is more likely to work for you, depending on your actual wants. There are a few available around Gwynedd. Are you near Bala?
