Security-what camera/device do I need?

We recently had an attempted theft. The police came out and asked if we had any footage.  We didn't as we haven't got a camera.  It's something we were planning on sorting out but haven't got round to yet.

So, what do you have? In the future we want a proper wired system with several cameras, but for now we just need a quick solution om case they come back soon. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Also I know you can get a pir sensor that alerts you if someone comes onto your drive.  Any recommendations for one of those would be great too. I've googled and there's too many...Thanks

We've used BLINK for a couple of years now and it's great but you do only get short snippets.
I recently installed a full wired Hikvision kit and that's on another level, also pretty easy to do if you can teach yourself to do cat6 plugs into cable as it's all POE so one cable only.

We still use the blink for driveway alerts and also as a nature camera
