I have not bought any wooden hurdles only metal ones as they are better suited to my system;

They're as good as any you'll get locally. As you probably realise, they have wooden and metal. I agree with Buttermilk I now prefer metal. But started off with wooden 30 odd years ago and still have them.

Metal are easier to disinfect too and should last longer.

£5 or £6 more per hurdle but definitely worth it. Mine are stored outside all year round, washed in disinfectant before lambing and after. And patch up hedges in the summer time  :roflanim:

Mole Valley are £22ish plus vat for 6ft. Try your local agricultural store, they should sell them. £37 is expensive  :yuck:  or put a post on Facebook, there are sometimes second hand hurdles for sale on there

Yeah we have quite a few homemade ones, our homemade ones are useful for uneven ground as they have no diagonal bracing and so can collapse to parallelograms cos they are only using one bolt system.

 i make them out of old pallets. There are two ag.suppliers near me that are happy to get rid of used pallets. The bits i dont use go on the log burner.
