Lamb pellets

Sorry if this is a silly question but I just want to check! I wanted some ewe nuts with 18%protein content. The country store didn't have any but had some lamb pellets with 18% protein content so I got those. Just checking they'll be OK for my ewe? Thank you

Ex-BH used to feed 18% lamb pellets to lambs and ewes, all did well on it.
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

I feed them to adult sheep if I'm out of sheep nuts or if I need to move sheep. I also think its safer to feed lamb pellets to Rams/wethers than ewe nuts

Yes most lamb pellets and lamb finisher have ammonium chloride in which makes them safe for feeding to tups or wethers. Don’t feed ewe nuts to male sheep whether castrated or entire  :tired:

Thank you for your replies bj Cardiff and twizzel. It's interesting to know about lamb pellets being safe for wethers and rams.
