I’ve got a lamb that keeps eating soil, and wondered what age they’re allowed mineral blocks from?

Ours have access from birth - the ewes have a molassed mineral bucket and the lambs just help themselves.

From birth providing there’s no urea in it (some energy blocks/buckets contain this).

We have himalyan rock salt in every field. all the time.

Eating soil could indicate a cobalt deficiency.  You might want to give it a drench.
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
