Evisceration through vaginal tear
« on: April 08, 2020, 09:11:29 pm »
What a sight to see on opening shed door, a dead ewe, heavily pregnant had thrown her intestines out. What a mess. I've heard of it but never experienced it in all the years of keeping sheep. This was a few days ago , since then 3 sets of twins and an ewe with triplets, who has mastitis. Looks promising with her, caught early and with treatment she and the lambs doing well.

Sounds absolutely horrible and heartbreaking. You feel so responsible as you put them in that situation. For all that’s bad, there’s good though. Twins are just right, and hope the mastitis continues to disappear asap for those triplets  :)
