Panic Killing
« on: March 20, 2020, 10:28:50 pm »
So I called or local abattoir today to book in a steer only to be told "sorry we aren't taking any private work just now as we can't keep up with demand from our own butchers shops, no idea when we might be able to kill for you".

I'm not looking for butchery or even hanging, just killing.

It seems that all this panic buying leads to opportunities for some but has blocked routine activities for others (we had been planning to send this steer off for a while so it's nothing to do with current demand).

(what else did you think this post was going to be about when you read the subject?)
